THE TRUTH UNTOLD (ft STEVE AOKI)

전하지 못한 진심, the 3rd track on Love Yourself: 轉 Tear, translates to “sincerity that couldn’t be delivered.” It references the smeraldo flower, a fictitious flower that BTS has been associated with on more than one occasion. Similar to how different flowers can mean different things, the smeraldo means “the truth I couldn’t tell,” according to the only flower shop that claims to sell it.
There are similarities between the lyrics of the song and “La Città di Smeraldo”, an Italian tale about a man who hides in his house because he’s afraid of showing himself. As he watches from the window, he falls in love with a woman stealing flowers from his garden to sell them. Trying to help her, he grows a special flower, the smeraldo, so that she can earn more money from it, but the woman dies before she is able to see it or meet the man. Several quotes from the original story are written in the teaser posters for the Love Yourself series.

FAKE LOVE Lyric

“Fake Love” is the lead single off BTS' 3rd full studio album, Love Yourself 轉 ‘Tear’. The song is about one realizing his love, what he thought was fate, turned out to be fake love. It’s an emo hip-hop genre track combined with grunge rock guitar sound and trap beat.
The song was performed for the first time during their comeback stage at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards on May 20, 2018. BTS also performed the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 25, 2018. BTS will promote the song on various music programs in Korea including Music Bank, Show! Music Core, Inkigayo, The Show, Show Champion and M Countdown.
On June 2nd, 2018 BTS released an extended version of the music video featuring bonus scenes adding to the storyline of the song. The video featured a rock remix version of the song.

“Intro: Singularity” was released as the comeback trailer for BTS' upcoming full-length studio album, Love Yourself 轉 ‘Tear', on BigHit’s YouTube channel May 7, 2018 at midnight KST. Performed by V, the song is an R&B slow jam featuring languid bass and a hypnotizing melody. The lyrics focus on entering the dreamlike landscape of a lake during winter as a metaphor for the main protagonist lamenting a strained relationship (with himself or a third party).
The word “singularity” has multiple interpretations, the most commonly adopted of which are either the state of being unique or alone in the universe (singular), or, in mathematics, a point at which “a function takes an infinite value”, usually with strange outcomes that warp the laws of physics and reality.

BTS NEW ALBUM "LOVE YOURSELF : TEAR"

Love Yourself: 起承轉結 is an ongoing project by BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan, 방탄소년단) that will last through the rest of 2017 to 2018. 轉 or 전송, which translates as “change” marks the third installment of the project. The third studio album by them was first teased on May 6, 2018, along with the teaser of member V’s solo intro “Singularity”.
In an interview with Billboard’s Chelsea Briggs, RM talked about the inspiration and message behind the album and its tracks, saying:

[…] We are trying to say that when you are in love and not true to yourself, the love won’t last. Because love is complex and we always have some dark sides and the sad sides. And sometimes we can’t be honest or real but if we keep that then we’ll lose [love]."

On April 16, 2018, BigHit Entertainment confirmed that the album’s name would be Love Yourself 轉 ‘Tear'. On May 13, 2018, BigHit Entertainment released the tracklist for the album, featuring 11 tracks.
On May 18, 2018, the music video for “FAKE LOVE”, which is also the lead single for the album, was released. Fake Love became their most successful single in the USA debuting at #10 on the official charts.
